The Dead Girl's Remains Sent to Relatives at Echo. The IIbrald's Special Dispatches. Salem, Jan. 23. The body of Aurilla Straight, the young.wouian who committed suicide in Mill creek, was shipped to Echo, Uma tiila county, to-day where it will be received for burial by relatives. The coroners inquest over the remains yesterday loiind that the name of the deceased is Aurilla Straight, a native of Oregon, age about 17 or 18 years, single; that she came to her death on or about January 11, 1888, at the city 01 -alem, Oregon, by drowning in North Mill Creek, while temporar ily insane. No blame is attached to the fac ulty of the Sister's school. The sending of the body as slated in the above telegram was by the di recton of Mrs. Gentry a sistsr of the deseasil. A number of witnesses were exam ined, but the testimony all threw no new light 011 the mystery sur rounding the young woman's death except that it waj evident, that she j deliberately committed suicide toi some unknown reason. The jury returned a verdict that the deceas ed had taken her own life by throwing herself in the creek while temporarily insane. Those who did not witness the performance were the losers. With each night it be comes more apparent that the company is one of unusual strength. The Boston Ideals presented the same opera at the Grand two years ago, and it would not compare in excellence with that of the Pyke company. The opera itself is very beautiful. The music is of a higher order than that in most light op eras. There are exquisite num bers all through it.
