The orator of the day, Hon. W. Sinclnir, referred briefly to the dereliction o f busi ness men and others on this occa sion and then left the matter to theirown consciences. Tne schools were also interfered with in some manner and hindered from hearty participation, out of 120 or 140 pupils not more than 40 taking part, though the teachers had instructed and prepared them for a place in the program. Except for these short-comings the celebration wa6 quite successful and edifying. The procession formed on Front street promptly, under command of Post Commander John Morris.
