I '- District Board Resolutions ROOMS and Myrtle Point, Aug. 21,—The following resolutions were passed by the District Bead Convention in session on above date: Inasmuch as School Clerks are compelkd to assume large financial responsibility in the cure of th» school money, and inasmuch as tlx County Treasurer is the proper emtodian of public funds, be it Resolved, That it is the sense of of this convention that our laws b< so amended as to keep all school money in the hands of the Count) Treasurer to be paid out c n war- rants drawn by the clerk of the school Loaid, in accordance with law Resolved, That it is the sense oi this convention that it will not lx to the b< st intcrc.ts of the schools oi Oregon to have free text books and the representatives to the legis lature from this county arc requested to not support any measure looking to the adoption o' such a system.
