Last \V< duesday evening, promptly at eight o’clock ttie marriage of Miss E ise Haalftrid and Chris Rasmussen was duly eolemuized at their new residence on the Bandon Bluff. Their beautiful new home was elaborately decorated with Oregon grape ami ferus, harmonizing with the occasion. The bride, who is a uiece of Mrs. J. Johnson, is not very well known in Bandon, having recently arrived from Norwich, Conn., her old home wbete she was very popular. The groom is one of our leading business uieu and has a host of friends. He has liv«d here a number of years and is very well kuowu. The wedding ceremony was per formed by Rev. \\ m, Horsfall of the Episcopal church of Bandon. But a few of the immediate friends and rel atives were present at Ibe ceremony. The bride was beautifully dressed lli white and carried native Howers. The groom wore conventional black, im mediately after the ceremony a daiuty supper was served during which they were agreeably surprised by a burst of music from the Bandon Concert B ind, who had gathered on the lawn to serenade the newly married couple. After a number of selections they en tered the house where they were served with refreshments. All ex tended their heartiest congratulations to the young couple, shortly after ward taking their leave. Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen will be at borne to their many friends in a short time.
