OPPORTUNITIES tit5SS.;Z 74 Cjml The Natural Resources Department of The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, in cooperation with Oregon Youth Conservation Corps, seeks a crew supervisor, two youth crew leaders and 16 youth crew members for its Summer Youth Crew program. These positions are designed and funded for the purpose of providing enhanced op portunities for youth andor students. Youth Crew Supervisor $13-$15hr Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Approximately 17 weeks, starting date June 4, 2012 Duties: Schedule program tasks and activities, purchase crew supplies and materials, organize campouts, and supervise two youth crew leaders and associated youth crews for up to 13 weeks and as sist the Fish and Wildlife Department with natural resource projects for approximately 3 weeks. Qualifications: Must have desire to work with youth and in natural resources; be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain; expe rience with the proper use of hand tools; good communication and organization skills. Supervisory experience preferred. Requirements: Furnish own work boots, valid driver's license with a safe driving record, must successfully pass pre-employment background check and drug test. Must be able to attend 3-day, 2 night (June 20-22, 2012) training in Bend, Ore., where first-aid and CPR training are provided. Closing date: Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Youth Crew Leader F&W Intern $10.50-$13hour Monday-Friday 8 a.m,-4:30 p.m. Approximately 15 weeks, start date flexible: June 4-18, 2012 Duties: Supervise and provide leadership to an eight-person summer youth work crew for up to eight weeks and assist the Fish and Wildlife Department for approximately six weeks. Projects may include stream and riparian restorationenhancement, trail maintenance and construction, native vegetation plantings, habitat enhancement monitoring, and other natural resource and commu nity projects. Qualifications: Desire to work with youth andor in natural re sources. Must be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain; experience in the proper use of hand tools; and good communication skills. Requirements: Work boots, valid driver's license, safe driving record. Must successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug test. Week-long leadership training provided. Must be able to attend 3-day, 2-night (June 20-22, 2012) training in Bend, Ore., where first-aid and CPR training are provided. Closing date: Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Youth Crew Member $8.80hour Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Approximately 7 weeks, starting July 2, 2012 Duties: Work as a member of an eight-person work crew. Projects include trail construction, habitat enhancement, invasive species removal, and other natural resource and community enhancement projects. Qualifications: Must be 16-19 years of age; have the ability or experience to safely and properly use hand tools; be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain. Experience or interest in working in the outdoors helpful. Requirements: Furnish own work boots and successfully com plete pre-employment background check and drug test.
