George August 20, 1975 December 12, 2005 Tribal member Mario George passed away of natu ral causes in Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland on Monday, December 12. She was 30. Born in Salem on August 20, 1975, she was the daughter of Monte and Margo George. She grew ( fc j up in Grand Ronde, graduating from Willamina High School in 1993. She was a member of the wrestling team and played powder puff football in high school. She enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting for antlers, hunting for chant erelle mushrooms, riding on logging equipment and entaging in out door pursuits in general. She also enjoyed throwing darts, collecting Mikey Mouse memorabilia, collecting sea turtles and goin gto work with her fiance, Jeff Hofenbredl. Ms. George loved her pets, including exotic birds and her dog, Loke. She was an accomplished artist, working with paints, pencil and char coal. She had mastered the art of scratch cooking. In adition to her fiance, she is survived by two daughters, Tami and Jorden George of Grand Ronde, her mother Margo Mercier of Grand Ronde; and two brothers, Sam and Sol George of Grand Ronde. She was preceded in death by her father, Monte George. Employee BreakfastFundraiser ! I Haw r . o ID I Davidson family Fundraiser Tribal employees hosted a breakfast for fellow employees onThursday.December 8. With food and expert cooking services provided by volunteers, the group also took the opportunity to raise funds for the Davidsons, a Tribal family that lost two children in a accidental car fire. Employees scarfed down more than 1 1 pounds of bacon, 12 dozen link sausages, 16 dozen eggs and 18 pounds of potatoes, and raised $270 for the Davidsons.
