The Fellowship is held in high regard on Capitol Hill and is the envy of many Tribal organizations and of course this is due, in part, to the Tribe's reputation in Oregon and Senator Hatfield himself. It was truly an honor to serve and I would encourage the continuation of this wonderful educational program for Tribal members throughout the Northwest. There are no other Tribally-funded programs that send indi viduals back to Washington, D.C. for 9 months and get the chance to learn the legislative process and assist Tribes nationwide.
