' iAj ; L L: i, l Annual Pow-WOW Highlights Eventful Year The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde's Annual Pow-wow was the largest ever in Grand Ronde bringing in an estimated 15,000 visitors over three days - August 16,17 and 18. The Tribal pow-wow, which started with a handful of people and a couple of vendors down at the Elementary School, has turned into a one of the largest annual Native gatherings on the west coast and is a showcase for the continued renewal of the people of the Tribes that make up the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. A year of great accomplishments with many reasons to give thanks. By Ron Karten Spirit Mountain Casino feature started off the 2002 year for Smoke Signals. A few names have changed in the interim the search has begun for a new CEO but the casino still is the number one visitor destination in the state and still suc ceeding with skill and style.
