In this senior technical role, Josh has overall respon sibility for ensuring a high ievel o f perform ance and reliability fo r the W arm Springs Telecom network. He will help bring technical stability and network expan sion to the growing com pany. ' Josh brings 13’years o f telecommunications industry experience to WST. A fter starting his career in 1996 w ith Palm ain In te rn e t, a dialup Internet startup, he later joined Bend B road band as their Senior N et work and Systems Engineer, In .that role, Josh- provided high level technical leader ship to ensure full reliability and functionality o f Internet and Voice over IP (VoIP) services. In 2006, Jo sh m oved to' Q uantum Comm unications to become their Network O p erations Manager, then their Network Solutions Architect, responsible for design, devel opm ent and maintenance o f networks. H e was also re sponsible for analyzing and evaluating financial data and - business solutions to ensure profitability. In the following year, Josh was prom oted to D irecto r o f O p eratio n s at Quantum. Commenting on the récent appointm ent o f Josh, WST G e n e ra l M anager, Jo s e Matanane- said: “This is a strategic hire designed to take us to the next phase in our developm ent. Jo sh has a deep technical knowledge that advances our capabilities and ensures that we will m eet the technical needs,of our customers now and'into the future. I think that we and our customers are really fortunate to have Josh on board.” I R egarding his new role with WST, Josh commented that “there are just not that many opportunities like this in Central Oregon, where I can have such a big impact.
