BBT scholarships available to high school seniors MHS athletes share the importance of reading and literacy with elementary students Last month, nine MHS varsity boys basketball players went to Madras Primary to read stories in the classrooms. They also invited the kids to come watch the home basketball game that night and gave them a team poster photo. “It’s really great to have high school students acting as role-models for elementary students in an educational setting. It highlights the importance o f literacy, and makes the younger kids excited about learning. ” — Gary Carlton, Principal of Madras Primary BBT Architects, the firm that is leading the design of our school construction projects, is now accepting applications for an annual $1,000 scholarship award.'
