Part of the day’s events included some water fun at the Community Center fields. The Warm Springs Nation Boxing Club will host Pi-Ume- Sha Boxing on Saturday, June 25, starting at 4:30 p.m. There will be 30 USA Box ing sanctioned bouts, said coach Austin Smith. Here are the scheduled bouts featuring Warm Springs Nation boxers (listed first) versus their opponents: Lai Thompson -vs- Uriah Cervantes, of Round 3 Boxing Club, 65 pounds. S hante l will be returning to Warm Springs to work for the summer. Congratulations, Shantel! Hove, Mom and the Family. Home destroyed by fire Flames consumed the home and a vehicle. Warm Springs Fire and Safety responded at 4:10 a.m. on June 14 to a structure fire on Tao-shuh Street in Warm Springs. The firefighters arrived to find the single-family dwelling carport and roof in flames. The fire then quickly spread to the rest of the residence, the porch, a near by vehicle and a small amount of grass. The cause of the fire is cur rently under investigation by the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s of fice and Warm Springs Fire and Safety. Fire and Safety was aided in fighting the structure fire by the Warm Springs Police Depart ment and Jefferson County Fire District No. 1. According to Assistant Fire Chief Karla Bagley-Tias, the structure and contents were deemed a total loss.
