Baker will be in the tribal administration building, conference room 2, on the first Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.; and the third Tuesday of each month from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The new slide at the Kah-Nee-Ta Village swimming pool will be featured at Tribal Member Appreciation Day on March 20. Tribal members are in vited to attend the annual Tribal Member Appreciation Day, hosted by Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort and Ca sino. A dm ission is free for tribal members at the Village hot springs-fed pool, where the new slide will be open. The corkscrew slide is 184 feet long. Tribal members attending Appreciation Day will have a chance to be the first person down the new slide. Appreciation Day is all day at the Village on Thursday, March 20. The pool is open from lO a.m. to 7 p.m. j Tribal members swim for free. The slide opens at 4 p.m. Tribal members will also receive a coupon for one free hot dog and Coke bev erage at the Village Snack Bar. One per customer. Squiemphen-Yazzie tourney . Under some criticism, the Agency District held their nomi nations for Tribal Council mem bers the evening o f March 4. The criticism stems from some who thought the nominations were too soon after the deaths o f two tribal members. Alto gether, 17 people were nomi nated, two of those declined. In other news: The Warm Springs Forest Products Industries 1982 annual report was discussed recently at a general council meeting at tended by few. 1982 was the “worst year we’ve had when you look at the total loss,” said gen eral manager Bob Macy. “We’ve never had a loss that high.” The poor year was attributed to a depressed market and a slipping economy that’s been slow to re cover.
