This month is Native American month. Please listen to the information we will be sharing about the Ichishkiin Columbia River people. This is our people, we are named Warm Springs Tribe today. We also traveled other oboriginal territories in season for our existence. Tananma nawa, Nch’i Wanatama. Wiwanichii Tinino, Wyam, Sk’inpa, Takshpash. Qw’ainata wa kurna wanichii chikuk Warm Springs . We are Native Americans o f our people from areas along Columbia River, such as Tinino, Wyam, Sk’inpa, and Takshpash. Today we are named Warm Springs. We were moved several times. First stop was Tygh Valley, we were named then Tiax. The second ^ Mu Numu onosoo kwa’ya mesoo sogonume. The Paiutes roamed all over this territory. Umu nonotse ki sumukwi nobekadu. Our people were nomads, never stayed in one place too long. E^i^Sip move was to Hot springs, (Today is known as Kahneta Resort) and then we were placed here to stay. We named our place Mlli, as Warm Springs, meaning warm water. Our river people was named Warm Springs. We know our selves as Wanafama. Aumatash kuc’k washapashukan nami tanarimamiki.
