This month is Native American month. Please
listen to the information we will be sharing about
the Ichishkiin Columbia River people. This is our
people, we are named Warm Springs Tribe today.
We will only speak Ichishkiin and English languages
once today.

Since in time immemorial us Sahaptin Language
speaking people are from the Columbia River. We
also traveled other
oboriginal territories
in season for our
existence.

We are Native Americans o f our people from areas
along Columbia River, such as Tinino, Wyam,
Sk’inpa, and Takshpash. Today we are named
Warm Springs.

speak Warm Springs Ichishkiin language and we are
decendents o f several ichishkiin groups from the
Columbia River.

Since we were moved from the Columbia River to
be placed in one area as a Indian Reservation. We
were moved several times. First stop was Tygh
Valley, we were named then Tiax. The second

Our people were nomads, never stayed in one
place too long.

Kahneta Resort) and then we were placed here to
stay. We named our place Mlli, as Warm Springs,
meaning warm water. Our river people was named
Warm Springs. We know our selves as Wanafama.

We have shared with you just a short information
about our Indian people. Now you have little
information o f who we are from the Columbia
River. Today known as Warm Springs.
