Lola Sohappy Judge, Warm Springs Tribal Court Howlak Tichum James Thomas, Sr. Enrolled member of the Confed erated Tribes of Warm Springs, Or egon, James William Thomas, Sr. age forty-nine, passed away in his home in Portland Monday, Decem ber 21, 1992. The cause of death is pending investigation. Thomas was born June 10, 1943 in Portland, Or egon. His parents were the late Alvin Jackson, lies Schalapi, and Virginia Miller Thomas. He attended schools in Portland, where he lived a majority of his life, he also lived in Warm Springs. He was a mill worker for Warm Springs Forest Product Industries for a number of years as well as a logger. He also enjoyed cooking. Thomas was married October 19, 1977 in Vancouver, Washington to Elaine Goodlance, they had five children. Douglas Robert Esquiro Douglas Robert Esquiro, also known as Doug Azure, died No vember 29 in Seattle Washington after years of health problems. Esquiro was born November 28 1947 in Ketchika Alaska to Pete and Stella Esquiro. He attended schools in Seattle WA, Rosebud and St. Francio South Dakota, and Madras Union High School. Esquiro was a shareholder of Sea Alaska and last worked as a polisher in a planting factory. He was inter ested in fishing and sports. Survivors include son Robert Tattoo Esquiro of Seattle, Mother Stella Azure of Salem OR. Brothers and sisters include Pete Esquiro Jr. Children In Troubled Times, Mr. Bodcnhamcr authored the best-selling book. His survivors include his wife; Elaine Thomas of Seattle, Washing ton, his five sons; James Thomas, Jr. of Reno, Nevada, Abel Thomas of Seattle, Lance Thomas of South Dakota, Delano Thomas and Sam Goodlance of Seattle, his brother; David "Les" Schalapi of Alexandria, Virginia, his sister; Daisy Schalapi West of Clinton, Maryland, and also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. of Sitka Alaska, George Esquiro of Warm Springs, Sandra Robinson of Palnur Alaska, Mark Azure of Salem OR, Mona Esquiro of Bend, Rick Esquiro of Redmond, Beday Esquiro and Randy Esquiro of Springfield. Uncles are Tom Llanos Sr. of Ketchika Alaska, Henry Llanos of Seattle, Joe Llanos of Anchorage Alaska, George Esquiro of Creston B.C. and Canto Jean Rambonga of Stockton CA.
