Automobile tune-up class helps drivers become familiar with the machine they operate. Ken Lydy instructs the course. Community education through Central Oregon Community College has motivated many Warm Springs people to increase their skills and education. Craft classes as well as credited college courses are offered. An effort is made by COCC community education coordinator Nancy Pitt to bring to Warm Springs classes that would be of interest to community members. She gladly accept requests and works to get these requests met. Over 250 individuals have registered for classes during the school year, 100 for credit classes. Many of he students are taking classes to develop themselves for better job oportunities. Warm Springs has always been very supportive of community education. Once again its existence in Warm Springs is dependent upon passage of the COCC budget levy on May 18. It is necessary that community members get out to vote.
