For street and after noon wear, there nre the tailored and simply trimmed 'dresses of light weight cloth, moire, and sa tin. They arc made In coat effects, bloused back, stralghtline and a few flared bottom models. They are trimmed with crepe or satin collars nnd cuffs, plain or metal braiding, soutache embroidery, and narrow mclal belts. IJlii ck Moire Smart One pnrtlcularly smart coat dress was made of blaqk molro, had modified blouse effect on sides and back, with a strnlghtlino front. The shawl collar and long sleeves were trimmed with flesh colored satin Crepe satin and moke are very strong and the colors most popu lar aro Vendome blue, Valencia red, Chanel red, fern green, pine green, all the wood shades and black. Gray Suede Fabrlo Liked A very smart coat made of gray suede fabrlo had blouse back, straight front and kimono sleeves. The sleeves and lower part of the front and back of the garment were embroidered In a darker shade of gray. The coat was topped with a large gray fox collar. Also being shown are several models in reversible coats. These are made on the tubular lines, of flat pelt furs and wool fabrics. The outstanding colors for afternoon wraps are Chanel rouge, willow green, shell bark tan, Jap Ivy, brown and black.
