In the line, Horrman will play at one end, the other being select ed from Robertson and Winalow. Robertson decided to come out for football a few days ago, having waited all season. Ho played cud last year. Stolzheise and Rhode will hold down tho two positions at tackles. Huston will play cen ter. Guards will be selected from Woodworth, Mort and Evans. In the tiual play of a stiff scrim mage Wednesday night, the final bard workout before the Pacific game, Rhodes and Woodworth were both hurt. Clark, mysteriously slain .in Hillside, N. J. Clark's wife and Joseph Cowen, an admirer, were held for questioning. A bracelet in Cowen's possession contained a picture of himself and Mrs. Clark. College of Idaho, which ranks al most on a-pax with the University of Idaho this year. Pacific has defeated Willamette each year for the past four years. Formerly the Bearcats won over the Badgers every season tor as far back as local sport historians can remember. SNOW MOTOR STUCK ON M'KENZIE PASS ROAD Eugene, Or.. Nov. 20. H, C. Hickman, of Hickman & Reed, pro prietors of the Eugene-Bend stage line, and Ed Jeneen, tractor me chanic, have left tor the McKcnzie pass, where they will again tempt to put the new snow motor over the road. Mechanical trouble has been blamed for the unsuccess ful attempts of the motor to nego tiate the puss so far. i ho company bus which was broken down on the Bend side of the pass has been repaired and taken back to Bend, according to word here. The new snow motor, contrary to general belief, will not open the pass for cars, even though success ful, but will Itself go over the snow carrying passengers. J. A. Rumble, 84, Wallowa bounty pio neer and veteran of the Civil war, died at his home at Joseph, Or., Tuesday. Ho was born in Wash ington county, Iowa, In 1842. and came to Joseph in 1880. He was appointed United States commis sioner in 1895. He served on a commission which separated Wal lowa county from Union county, Ho also Bervcd ae postmaster at Joseph and as councilman. Dur ing the Civil war he was a mem her of the Fourth Iowa cavalry, company D. He enlisted in 1861. Hollywood.
