MILLION DOLLAR SIGN CORPORATION FORMED Los Angeles, Cal., July 17 An nouncement was made today of the launching of the one million dol lar electrical products corporation, with principal factory and offices here and branch factories and of fices in San Francisco, Seattle and Denver. The corporation which was form ed through the consolidation of the electric products corporation, tho Claude Neon Lights and financial interests in Los Angeles, will manu facture and install electrical signs, utilizing a new process of illum ination developed from the liqui dation of rare gases extracted from the air. DAVIS CONFER Swampscott, Mass., July 17 (AP) President Coolidgo arrang ed his schedule today to enable to confer with Secretary Davis of the labor department before motoring to Camp Devens to review the JGth national guard division. The secretary came to Swamp scott i j go over departmental mat ters and to discuss the labor situa tion generally with the executive before sailing Saturday for Eu rope. Significance was given to his visit by the possibility of a deadlock between anthracite operators and miners over a new wage scale, with suspension of operations in the hard coal fields resulting, and it was considered likely that Mr. Davis would give a comprehensive report on the situation and his opinion as to what should bo done n event of a tie up. WOOD IS OPPOSED TO PUBLIC OWNERSHIP Manila, July 17. (A.P.) Gov ernor Gene-sl Leonard Wood told the Philipu.-ue legislature yester day that tiie government should transi er o private enterprise all railroad, mines and agricultural enterprises now under its control. Thielsen was relieved of any liability for damages in a ver- diet rendered by a Jury in circuit court in the case brought against him by Hazel DeLaney as admlnis tratrlx of the estate of Ralph Flint. The action was for $7000, young Flint having been killed when his bicycle was struck down by Thielsen's automobile. Evidence Introduced by Thielsen showed tliat Flint's bicycle zigzagging when emerging from Miller street onto High street, where the accident occurred. In his instructions to the jury Judge Kel ly advised them that if they found negligence on the part of the de fendant Thielsen must be absolved from blame, or if there was negli gence on the part of both that the verdict must be for the defendant, as in that case the law leaves the two just where it finds them.
