OLD THEATER IS REMODELED FOR STORE PURPOSES Active work of remodelling the Liberty theater Into a store build Ing will begin Monday. Workmen have been removing the seats, or gan and other theater equipment for the past two days, and will finish this week. The new store, which will be one of the Cosmopolitan chain, will be the sixth to be established In the Willamette valley, where the chain operates. It will handle a genera line of goods, Including groceries and other staples. Coolidge barely escap ed being run down by a motor cycle this morning during a walk about Swampscott a leap to the side of the road saving her. She was returning to White Court and had just turned into the pri vate driveway when four members of the stnto constabulary on motor cycles turned into the lano behind her. .. Driving at a fast clip, ac cording to witnesses, the motor cycle officers wero behind her at most before anyone was aware. The grinding of brakes nnd a yell by James. Haley, her eecret service man gave Mrs. Coolidge her only warning and as she Jumped to one side of the road the lead ing machine shot between her and Haley.
