'Tuition paid the Salem district, amounting to over $30,000 a year, is not re received until after actual instruc tion for which the tuition is jiaid, is finished, they stated. The local district is forced to advance the money for the instruction- of out. of-town pupils, while the out-of-town districts keep their money and put It out at Interest. Opinion was expressed that some arrangement should be made for receiving money in the fall, when needed and wnen placed in the hands of county district olerlts. Early next month the local dis trict will receive payment of tui tion for out-of-town pupils given Instruction during the past school year ' - MODOC NORTHERN TO BE BUILT TO CORNELL Portland, June 24.
