tight games from the Camas club

game.
"Big" Bill Kuss, hurler for the
Camas team is going good as he
has all season, but hie teammates
, have not bien giving him the right
Jtlnd of support. They played good
ball against the papermakers last
Sunday and it might be possible
that the locals are In for a heal
ing when the two teams meet.
Frank Reinhart, left fielder tor
the Senators, broke into the line
up with throe nice hits in Sunday's
game with Hillsboro. One of his
hits brought In the tying runs.
Reinhart Is a good hitter when the
ball is anywhere near where it
should be and will add consider
able strength to tho locale. Barr
and Proctor, also starred-with the
bat in the game last veek. Ed
wards has not as yet decided who
will twirl for the locals although
It is thought that he will start

IS HELD UNJUST
Dissatisfaction with the finan
cial relationship between the
Salem school district and Marion
county was expressed by members
of the Salem school board at their
meeting last night. 'Tuition paid
the Salem district, amounting to
over $30,000 a year, is not re
received until after actual instruc
tion for which the tuition is jiaid,
is finished, they stated. The local
district is forced to advance the
money for the instruction- of out.
of-town pupils, while the out-of-town
districts keep their money
and put It out at Interest.
Opinion was expressed that
some arrangement should be made
for receiving money in the fall,
when needed and wnen placed in
the hands of county district olerlts.
Early next month the local dis
trict will receive payment of tui
tion for out-of-town pupils given

THREE GENERATIONS

Since the humble origin of

of women have used this old fash

success. Very often we hear of

I-'rank W. Stearns, who was among

While the president will be able
during the summer to keep In

quarters In Linn and will be In di-
rect wire communication with

will give himself over mainly to
rest and recreation. ' The May'
flower is at anchor at Marblehead
within sight of Whltecourt and it
is probabl,that, in addition to
