PREMIERS OF ALLIED POWERS MEET IN PARIS (Continued from Page One) xeater part of the conference genda either being dealt with or sent to sub-ccmmitl?ca early In the nice. lng. As to the conference proper. optimism prevails that it will close Us labors next week with general agreement which will clear the financial atmosphere. The great rock In the path of the conference Is America's Insist ence upon payment of her o ecu pa tional army costs and damage claims aaginst Germany out of the Dawes plan proceeds, a claim which Great Britain contests. Both ides aro declaring they will not yield, but inasmuch as the French and Belgians side with the Ameri cans, observers think it may be difficult for tho British to main tain their point, A solution which fin. Is most fa vor would be to fix a lump sum for the American claims nnd to ar range for Its reparyment over a long period of years so as to make as slight a drain on tho reparation pool as possible.
