Three truck loads of young trout have been planted in Scott lake, just Vest of the lava fields and on the trail leading to Deer hutte. in the fast few days. With their base camp no! far from the McKenzie pass highway, at Krog camp, tlii' alpinists transported part of their food and equipment to Cnmp Montague, not far from the snow line. From this camp, they have lit tle difficulty in scaling the glacier peaks in a day. The Washington mountaineers are finding the Three Sisters region an unusual outing ground. The sides of the mountains above tin- timber line, and even above the snow line, are mantled with a muss of vari colored flowers.
