According to Pendleton Police, the department was made aware of the theft Wednesday. Items missing from the storage units include beaded buckskin dresses, war shirts, vests, martingales, horse trap- pings, leggings, beaded purses, moccasins, head- bands, chokers and an eagle feather fan. According to police, most of the items are well over a century old, are of significant cultural and historical value and cannot be replaced or duplicated. The Pendleton Police Department is asking for assistance in locating the stolen items. If anyone has any knowledge or infor- mation as to the person(s) responsible for the theft or the whereabouts of any of the property please call police at 541-276-4411 or dispatch at 541-966-3650. PUBLIC SAFETY LOG THURSDAY 7:33 a.m. - A caller reported a vehicle crashed into a tree off Wegner Gulch Road near Pilot Rock and was sticking into the roadway. 8:42 a.m. - Stanfield police responded to a resi- dence on Lena Drive for domestic violence and theft. 10:41 a.m. - A woman in Heppner told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office someone stole her Samsung tablet in January, and now a male contacted her to get information to access the tablet. 2:18 p.m. - A tour bus had a bit of a delay when it blew a tire on the eastbound lane of Interstate 84 near Boardman. 2:30 p.m. - An Irrigon mother asked law enforce- ment to check on her son, who was supposed to return Monday with his family after borrowing her pickup and a neighbor’s flatbed trailer. 2:56 p.m. - Hermiston police received a report of four cars illegally parked in handicapped-assignable spots at one business. 7:25 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office re- ceived a report of a burglary on White Lane, Hermis- ton. 11:54 p.m. - A man told Hermiston police “Jasmine called him and says Dylon is on her roof” on West Sun- land Avenue. ARRESTS, CITATIONS Thursday •The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jakob Raymond Kerby, 18, of Milton-Freewater, for first-degree rape. According to circuit court documents, the state alleged he committed the crime in May against a person who lacked the mental capacity to give consent. Judge Jon Lieuallen set bail for Kerby at $50,000. He remains in the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton. •Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dalton Dale Booker, 27, of Irrigon, on domestic violence charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment, and second-degree kidnapping. Friday •Hermiston police arrested Jeanette Marie Taylor, 51, of Hermiston, on the domestic violence charge of fourth-degree assault.
