William Proctor Remington has been elected missionary bishop for East ern Oregon diocese for the Protestant Episcopal church. He was formerly Suffragan Bishop of South Dakota, ftemington is a famous athlete and was' ordained a priest in 1906. He held posts in Philadelphia and Min neapolis, Minnesota. He was conse crated bishop of South Dakota Jan uary 10;. 1918 and was chaplain of a base hospital twenty six. He is a member of the board of missions of the. Protestant Episcopal church. Remington was born in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania, March 13, 1879 and was married to Florence Lyman Al len at Burlington-, Vermont, Septem ber 9, 1905.
