blaze of glory. The carnival is the
most ambitious affair of the kind
ever attempted In this auction of the
country. A large area centrally lo
cated has been set aside for carnival
purposes and here are elaborate ex
hibits made by merchants and manu
facturers, as well as by the labor or
ganisations. In addition to these dis
plays there are numerous features of
entertainment In the way of athletic
