The complications urlsing from this form a thrilling situation that will keep the audience on the edge of their seuts. The play is progressing nicely A the cast members are gelling their lines well in hand. The play is being directed by Mrs. Kathryn Denier. Girl Scouts Entertain Mothers at Pot Luck Monday evening the Girl Scouts were hostesses at a pot luck sup per to their mothers and teachers. Twenty-seven plates were served The table was decorated with mari golds and chrysanthemums and the holiday napkins. Several people found topics of discusión under their plates und some of them were too deep to be discussed intelligently without more time for research. A puzzle was also worked out during the meul. Miss Moore told five dut ies of a troop committee. Mrs. Hol- derness spoke of some of the pro jects to be carried out in the future. When ilessert was served everyone present found and put on their heavy coats. It was a jolly supper and it is hoped to have some more when it isn't so cold. LATHROP SPEAKS TO LOCAL GRANGE AUDIENCE Rebekahs Meet Here In 1940 (■old Hill was chosen as Ihe l!l(0 meeting place for Hie district Convention of the Hebekah lodges at their annual meeting held last Saturday, November IK in Medford. Mrs. Paul Thompson was elected chairman of the convention for the coming year and Mrs. Belle Smith, secrelury. This district convention will be held here some lime in No vember, 1940. District convention for the Re bekah lodges of this district was held at Medford Saturday, with representatives present from Glen dale, Gold Hill, Grants Pass, Cen tral Point, Jacksonville and Med ford. A business meeting and school of instruction was held during the iky. Officers for the convention to be held at Gold Hill next year were elected. Mrs. lsma Poole of the Glendale Hebekah lodge, was ap pointed to act as Warden. During the evening, the degree work was presented by the Med, font lodge, under Ihe direction of Captain Bill Dyer, who was form erly a member and degree captain of the Glendale lodge. Mrs. Alma Henderson, president of the Hebekah assembly of Ore gon, Mrs. Christine McCormick, state publicity officer and Mrs. Carrie Rickert Moran, past presi dent of the Hebekah assembly of Oregon, were present at the ses sions.
