Arts & Entertainment Films Opening July 26 DiaTribe: Uniting African, The Wolverine (PG-13 for sexuality, profanity and intense violence) Sixth installment in Marvel Comics’ X-Men franchise, set in Japan, finds Wolver- ine (Hugh Jackman) stripped of his invincibility and locked in a life or death battle with a mysterious fig- ure from his past (Hiroyuki Sanada) whose daughter (Tao Okamoto) is his cur- rent love interest. See MOVIES on page 6 PHOTO BY ALAN WONE BIG BUDGET FILMS Following up on beloved, now-deceased musician Obo Addy’s unique event, DiaTribe: From the Village to the Streets last year, organizer Alan Wone is bringing the event back in a bigger venue – free of charge to the public. DiaTribe: In the Park is designed to show the linkages between African music traditions and African-American culture, with live music, dance, spoken word, krumping and more.
