Ensemble cast See FILM on page 7 INVITATION TO BID EASEMENT IMPROVEMENTS EAST OF HOAG STREET Sealed proposals for furnishing all materials, labor and equipment for the following described work will be received by the Clerk-Treasurer of the Town of Yacolt, P.O. Box 160, 202 W. Cushman Street, Yacolt Washing- ton, 98675 up until 1:00 p.m., August 8, 2013. At this time the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read. A con- tract will be awarded or all bids rejected within 60 days after the bid opening. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project for which bids will be received is described as follows: Schedule A – Road and Drainage The Town of Yacolt proposes to construct approximately 280 linear feet of paved roadway and easement widen- ing from the end of East Hoag Street to the east. The project will include 9 feet of road pavement widening with two (2) handicap parking spaces, two (2) parking lot entrances, and a park entrance. Storm drainage will be a swale along the northerly side of the easement. Schedule A is financed through the Community Develop- ment Block Grant program with funds obtained from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This contract will be subject to regulations of the Depart- ment of Labor and Housing and Urban Development. Schedule B – Water Approximately 80 linear feet of new 8-inch watermain pipe, will be extended to the east on the southerly side of the existing pavement ending in a new fire hydrant assembly and a new 1” water meter. Schedule B is financed through the Community Devel- opment Block Grant program with funds obtained from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Develop- ment. This contract will be subject to regulations of the Department of Labor and Housing and Urban Develop- ment. Schedule C – Pavement Overlay The 280 linear feet of new paved easement and the existing 280 linear feet of existing paved easement will be an overlay with 1 ½” of HMA full width. This is an addi- tive alternate and depends on the available budget at the time of bid. Attention is called to federal provisions for Equal Employ- ment Opportunities, HUD Section 3, requirements and the minimum wages as set forth in the contract docu- ments. No Bidder may withdraw their proposal after the time set for the opening thereof, or before Award of Contract, unless said Award is delayed for a period exceeding 30 days. Town of Yacolt reserves the right to Award the Bid to the lowest respon- sible Bidder, waive informalities, or reject any or all Bids. A pre-bid conference will not be held. The project is financed through the Community Develop- ment Block Grant Program with funds obtained from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and will be subject to regulations of the Departments of Labor and Housing and Urban Development.
