Church Pair Presents Work' At Fairmount Church Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Rich arda now are working with the Fairmount Church of Christ at 17th and Columbia streets, preaching, teaching and singing. They are music editors and west ern representatives for the Stand ard Publishing company of Cin cinnati, Ohio, and also evangelis tic singers of international repu tation. The hymnbook now in uee at the Fairmount church was edited by them. Mr. Richards teaches the adult Bible class and preaches the ser mon Sunday morning, and Mrs. Richards plays the piano. Sunday evening is given over entirely to a community sing. The entire service is built around gospel music, congregational singing and special numbers. The public is invited to both services. Frederick C. Sullivan, regu lar army instructor and inspector for the Oregon state guard. Captain Sullivan said, "Re sponsible officers are to be com mended on the high degree of training the state guard units showed at the annual inspection of the guard. The people of Eugene may well be proud of the showing made." I. "bill of rights," records compiled at the end of the first week of registration show. Fall term registrations for veterans totaled 76. Of these, 15 failed to return for winter term. Forty-two new veterans signed up for classes the week of Jan. 2. Total registration for all and winter term Is 118, Dean Virgil D.
