Joe Carioca meets Donald Duck In the picture, and offers to show him Rio. This tour of the South American hot spots introduces the samba in its native state, that Is, as the South Americans dance and sing the samba rhythms. "Brazil," by Ary Barroso, is the theme of this part of the picture and la one of the most colorful and vivid numbers ever filmed. Tropical Scene AH of the tropical color of the rich country is captured by the artists, and together with the lilt ing musical background, a rare piece, of entertainment is present ed. Then too, as Donald Duck and his newly found buddy, Joe Cari oca, take over the town, audience approval Is high and enthusiastic. Betty Hutton, Bob Hope, and ZaSn Pitta appear. Latest Bob Hope Due Wednesday One of Broadway's most popu lar musicals, the Cole Porter smash hit, "Let's Face It," has been made by Paramount Pictures into what promises to be an uproarious film, co-starring Bob Hope and Betty Hutton, with Dona Drake, Cully Richards, Eve Arden, ZaSu Pitts, Marjorie Weaver and Ray mond Walburn. According to all reports, the movie version of "Let's Face It," which is due Wednesday at the McDonald theater, Is even funnier than its "legitimate" predecessor, which isn't surprising considering the fact that two comedy experts like Bob' Hope and Betty Hutton head the all-laugh cast. This is the first time Bob Hope and Betty have been paired and the results are said to be cyclonic. The plot of "Let's Face It" gives Bob innumerable opportunities for gags. Lucille Ball plays a movie star who accepts a fan letter invita tion from young Tommy Dix to attend the prom as a publicity stunt Lucille has her doubts about the whole affair but her press sgent, William Gaxton, Is confi dent the resulting - fanfare will turn the trick of having her op tion picked up. Tommy, who never expected Lu cille to accept, is devastated, but not from joy. For he has Invited his best girl, Virginia Weidler, to the dance and besides, Winsocki tradition does not. include movie stars.
