Insurance Work Miss Jeannette Whitty, who resigned recently as Girl Scouts director in Eugene, has signed a contract to sell insurance with the New York Life Insurance company and expects to be working in Eu gene for the company. At present, Miss Whitty is in Portland taking an intensive course from B. M. Downie, agency director for the Portland branch of the New York Life company, and upon completion of that work will be in Eugene, probably within the next week, to begin her new work.
