W. Mc-; Arthur, superintendent, said Wed nesday. No approval has yet been given on a priority request for a perman ent, six or eight inch line, Mr. Mc. Arthur said, but in view of the urgency of the need for fire pro tection as well as drinking water at the school, the water board is installing used 4-inch pipe. The water board, pointing out the mili tary nature of the airport school project, applied a month bro for the priority on pipe, but so far has not obtained it. j However, the board did obtain priority on an application for a third wire to add to the power supply at the school. This ar rived Monday, Mr. McArthur said. Meanwhile, the board is still waiting for a priority rating on a bulldozer and conveyor to make possible a larger supply of hog fuel for the steam stand-by plant in the power generating system. The Bonneville administration has indicated that It would like to buy additional power in Septem ber and October to fill its needs temporarily until additional gen erators are installed at Grand Coulee. Vn1s the water board is granted this priority to make pos sible a larger suppy of fuel, it will be difficult for the Eugene system to make enough power to Chrry out the request. McArthur said. !
