Sonja Henie, John Payne, Lynn Bart and even Director H. Bruce Hum- berstone were taking advantage of the large audience to Hit Berle is revenge for the many gags he had pulled en them. While he was before the cam eras, they threw back at hint the many gags with which he had plagued them before to the great enjoyment of the extras. Lynn Earl drew a hearty laugh when Berle tripped over cable. Her interpretation was that he was trying to "chew the scenery," But Berle finally got even with Lynn when she started to hearse her song number with Glenn Miller and his Band.
