This great concert cavalcade is being offered this fall and winter by the associated students of the University of Oregon in their annual Greater Artist series. Season tickets tor the series, which have been on sale since early this month, will not be available after Saturday night. This means Eugene and Lane county music lovers have only one more day in which to purchase season ducats and save 20 per cent on the great parade of world-famous artists. The booth at Washburne's will be open from 9 a. m. until 5 p. m. Saturday, the final day of the drive. I'rivnegc lor tuecne Eugene is one of the smallest towns in the nation to have the rjrivileee of seeing and hearing these great artists. Ordinarily such attractions as Fritz Kreisler and the Cossacks stop at no cities smaller than Portland. It is because of the efforts of the associated students of the University of Oregon that these concerts have been scheduled for McArthur court. Kreisler, world-renowned master of the violin, will play here the night of November 7, opening the series. Kreisler, a genius as a boy. has been a miracle of music as a man. He is known in every nation of the world as one of music's greatest masters. It is the first time he has appeared here and it will probably be the last time. Serge Jaroff and the Don Cossacks, the famous singing horsemen of the steppes, will be making their second Eugene appearance when they step on the McArtnur court stage me nigm ot Novemoer 10. The Cossacks sang here two years ago and were received with such tremendous enthusiasm and applause that the associated students bent every effort to secure their return, and because of that wcll remcmbered reception the Cossacks were not loathe to return. Throughout the western world the Cossacks are known as the greatest living male chorus. ureal 1'iano leant Pasmore and Trerice, who will appear on the concert series winter term, are noted as the greatest piano team in United States music.
