There will also be a number of wood novel ties on display, one being of a new use of Juniper wood recently commer cialized at Bend, showing possibilities of several other little-used Lane county woods. One Important feature of the wood show this year will be an exhibit of model farm buildings which will be arranged by Prof. J. W. Gilmore of the school of agriculture of Oregon State college. The display will show numerous types of attractive fnrm buildings, all of which can economi cally be constructed of wood. "F. "IS "Father's Ron," which opened Tues day at the Heilig theater, is one of the really good pictures which has come to Kugene this year. The picture was previewed !ate Monday evening at the theater, and the little group who saw it agreed with the three-star rating given "Father's Son" by Lib erty magazine. Leon Janney, clever child actor, plays the part of the boy, with Irene Itich as his mother and Lewis Stone as his stem father who takes all his pranks for evidences of natural de pravity. The lad has the brooding sympathy of his mother, the faithful ness of his dog and the worship of Vestibule Pullman Johnson, a colored lad, but dad's harshness seems to cancel all the comfort the others bring. The boy finally decided to run away and then it is that the father begins to see the havoc frought by his attitude towards the lad. No more of the story need be told except that the picture from the first is a living, amusing and tender reproduction of the Booth Tarkington novel. The theater is inviting all fathers to bring their sons free to the show. Fathers who pay admission may bring all of their sons, regardless of age. Creswell Church to Be Convention Host CRESWELL.
