Names of the fliers are being withheld until next of kin have been notified. The wreckage was sighted by a helicopter from the 74th Air Rescue Squadron from Ladd Air Force Base. The missing 1.19 was found on the frozen Tanana River mile and a half southeast of the Fairbanka International Air port this morning. ( The last word heard from the plane, inbound from Galena, about 300 miles west of Fair banks, was a request made to Ladd AFB Friday night for land ing instructions.
