The walks of the Willamette Uni versity campus have been desert ed lately, in favor of a quiet seat in the library. The reason? Final week begins January 29, and the students are preparing now for those term examinations. But finals still are time for romance, as evidenced by the an nouncement of the engagement of Jodie Johannaber of Chemawa and Lewis Hampton of Salem. Miss Johannaber graduated in education and is teaching grade school. While at Willamette she was affiliated with Pi Beta Phi Mr. Hampton, a freshman law student, is a member of Cardinal Key.- .: :;' Keith Mirick of Medford, .was named Rotarian of the Month for February at the last meeting of the student! council. Names of the circles, which reflect aspects of the Guild's activities and interest, are: Charities, to meet tonight at 8 p.m.; Foreign Missions, Tues day at 2-p.m.; Education; Wed nesday at 2 p.m.; Life Member ship and in Memoriam, Thursday at 2 p.m and Literature and Home Missions, Friday at 8 pjn. Engagement Is ReVealed The engagement ef Miss Audra Garbarino, daughter of Mrs. Ann Garbarino to Robert Hamilton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul. Hamil ton of Salem, was announced early thii week. Both Miss Garbarino and Mr, Hamilton attended high school in the Salem area. .Miss Garbarino, a graduate of Marylhurst College, is currently employed by the State Welfare (Commission in Marion County. Mr. Hamilton is employed by the State Highway Department Wedding plans are being made for early in June. .
