. The walks of the Willamette Uni
versity campus have been desert
ed lately, in favor of a quiet seat
in the library. The reason? Final
week begins January 29, and the
students are preparing now for
those term examinations.
But finals still are time for
romance, as evidenced by the an
nouncement of the engagement of
Jodie Johannaber of Chemawa and
Lewis Hampton of Salem.
Miss Johannaber graduated in
education and is teaching grade
school. While at Willamette she
was affiliated with Pi Beta Phi
Mr. Hampton, a freshman law
student, is a member of Cardinal

Keith Mirick of Medford, .was
named Rotarian of the Month for
February at the last meeting of
the student! council. Mr. Mirick
was selected because of his
campus leadership for over a

Garbarino to Robert Hamilton,

Both Miss Garbarino and Mr,
Hamilton attended high school in
the Salem area. .Miss Garbarino,
a graduate of Marylhurst College,
is currently employed by the State
Welfare (Commission in Marion
