ANGEL This city's 'dark streets shineth" with paintings of the Christ child and the manger scene this season as the result of a project by students of Ml Angel Academy who have done the art work on the city's store windows as part of their campaign to Put Christ back into Christmas' ! 1 y Dallas School Pageant on Yule Customs Statesman Ncwi Serrict j DALLAS "Christmas Around the World" with customs portrayed and appropriate music will be pre sented.by an all grade cast of Lyle Elementary school Tuesday, at 1:30 p.m., according to Mrs. Gene vieve Walton, principal. 1 - ' The public is invited to the pro gram which is under the direction of Mrs. Wilma Harding, 1 music teacher. I Mrs. Jessie Heath, Morrison school principal, announces their annual Christmas - program for December 22 at 2 p.m. In addition to singing and choral work which is featured throughout the program a playlet, "King Win ter and His Court" will be pre sented by the lower grades and a Nativity scene portrayed by the fifth grade rooms. ,, -. All students are included in the cast and each teacher is in charge of a part of the production. Both schools will have Christmas parties Thursday before early dis missal for the holidays.' Friends of Mrs. Frank Holou- bck have learned that she fell Tuesday evening in her home in Salem, breaking her hip. She is a former resident of Sidney. Leslie Newton who I operated the store at Sidney, reports twin lambs born Nov. 30, beating the pair at the Frank Weddle farm by nine days. Other signs of early approach of spring here are yel low jasmine blooming at the Louise Johnston home at Sidney for the past month, and a white calla lily blossom on the east side of the Wallace Wickett res idence. And he isnt happy about it Pritchard told State Police two deer ran into his car on a high way near Cheboygan. But state conservation officers took the deer carcasses and distributed the venison to state institutions. All Pritchard had to show for his feat was a bill for $300 for re pairs to his automobile. .
