The affair hon ored Mrs. Mill's mother and sister, Mrs. C. A. Kuttler and Miss Helen Kuttler, who, with Mr. Kuttler, have been visiting in Salem the past 10 days from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The ruins of Jarmo In Iraq, un covered recently by archaeologists, are remains of a village believed to have thrived between 5,000 and 6,000 B.C. Miss FroehlFch Bride of George Porter The wedding of Miss Dorathea Froehlich and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Froehlich and George Duncan Porter, was solem nized at St. John's Lutheran church at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night. The Rev. H. W. Gross of ficiated. Mrs. William Fischer sang and was accompanied by Mr. Fischer who also played the marches. The church was decorated in pink and white. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown with long sleeves and train. The bodice and peplum of lace. The finger-tip length illusion veil was held by a small cap of lace and ornamented seed pearls. The flowers were a crescent-shaped boquet of stephanotis centered with a white orchid. Matron of honor was Mrs. Alli son Klug, wearing a whit mar quisette with a yellow velvet sash and carrying a crescent shaped bouquet of yellow Esther Reed daisies. The bridesmaid, Mrs. Marvin Hageman was dressed like the maid of honor, except the color in dress and flowers was orchid. Both attendants are sisters of the bride. Sandra Klug was flower girl. Best man was Roger Pederson and Henry Froehliah, Warren Klug and Marvin Hageman were ushers. Mrs. Foehlich wore navy blue crepe with white trim and acces sories of blue and white for her daughter's wedding. Her flowers were pink elf roses. The reception was held at May flower hall. Mrs. Warren Klug, sister of the bride, poured and Mrs. Eugene Hamrick cut the cake. Both are sisters of the bride. Mrs. James Moriskey served punch. Miss Joann Keeker, Miss Gladys Koehn, Miss Patricia Kirscher, Miss Joan Schwabbauer, Miss Beverly Matlock, Miss Marge Williams assisted. For going away the bride wore a gray suit with white and laven der accessories and an orchid. The bride has been employed In the office of the Salem high school and Mr. Porter is in charge of adult education with the Salem schools. He is also on the faculty of Salem High school. STREET OR RR CITY Only Five Girls In Festival Cast While it takes more than a score of young men to play the important roles in the Oregon Shakespearean festival's four pro ductions for 1952, five women handle all the female leads easily. Two are veterans of the festival Clara Margaret Daniels of Med ford, and Suzanne La Ma ire Han son, Ashland and other three, new here but experienced actresses, are Eleanor Prosser, Stanford uni versity graduate student and for mer Occidental college instructor in drama; Virginia Chesse, San Francisco State college student and TV actress, and Marjorie Lov berg, Montana university student who has also played profession ally. Miss Prosser plays Beatrice in "Much Ado About Nothing" and Portia in "Julius Caesar". Mrs. Chesse plays the charming French princess in "Henry V" and Mir anda in "The Tempest." Miss Lovberg, runs the gamut of Shakespearean roles from the guileless Hero, in "Much Ado About Nothing," to the hostess, Mistress Quickly, in "Henry V." She also plays Iris in "The Tern pest" and Calpurnia in "Julius Caesar." Like Miss Prosser, both Mrs. Chesse and Miss Lovberg have other duties in the company as well. Both sing in the madrigal group under Hans Lampl, direc tor of the new program of Eliza bethan music at the festival. Miss Lovberg will appear with the Elizabethan folk dancers, Mrs. Chesse and her husband, Dion, will stage a Punch and Judy show as part of the pre-show activity, and both do box office, costume, and stage. The festival opens its 30-day season in Ashland on August 1.
