The Associated Press average of 60 stocks gamed 90 cents at $85.70 with the industrial component up $1.40, rails 80 cents, and utilities 10 cents. Today's business amounted to 1,470,000 shares. Yesterday's total was 1,410.000 shares. The curb market was higher with trading amounting to 410,000 shares as compared with 320.000 snares yesterday.
