Feb. 20-tTV-The American Bowling congress rule restricting membership to individ uals o' the white male sex result ed today in cancellation of a Maih 17 tournament by the New .York Journal-American. The Journal-American, in a front page story signed by Bill Comm. said it also would take similar action at the end of a wom en's tournament, now underway. If the Women's International Bowling congress continues to ad here to its restrictive by-laws. 'Cross' Enters NCAATourney NEW YORK, Feb. 20 Holy Cross all-conquering basketball team today became the first quin tet in the nation to enter a major post-season tournament when it accepted an invitation to the Na tional Collegiate Athletic associa tion tourney in New York. Winners of 22 straight, the Crusaders were named to repre sent district No. 1. The announce ment was made by Bay Oosting, Trinity college athletic director who is chairman of the district selection committee. The tournament's eastern play offs will be held at Madison Square Garden on March 22 and 25. The western playoffs- will be held on the same dates at Kansas City.
