" The Mairs' guit contends the article was false and libelous, and that they were operating a bona fide business. . -r Wheat Soars, Drops in Mart CHICAGO, Feb. 20 -.-P)-In a hectic session of widely gyrating ' prices, wheat soared as much as ' 8 cents to. new 27-year highs an1 then gave up nearly all its gains on the board of trade today. The new peak for any wheat : contracts since 1920 was estab lished by March at $2.38,i short ly before noon. Heavy profit taking then swept over the pit and prices plunged from their bet ! levels. Corn and oats swung up 1 and down with wheat. Wheat closed lower to 1 cent higher, March S2.321,, corn was; unchanged to . higher, March ; $1.384. and oats S higher, March 791..
