July 13-(Special)-Salem's Western International league leading Senators and the seventh place Vancouver Capilanos broke even in their series-ending doubleheader here tonight, the Solons nabbing the opener, 8-6, and the Caps the seven-inning nightcap, 6-3. Seven home runs went soaring out of the park in the sessions which saw the teams break even at 3-3 for the week. Lefty Ken Wyatt twirled .the opening win for his seventh vic tory of the season. Although touched for four home runs, two by Ray Orteig and one each by Frank Mullens and Al Kretchmar, Wyatt kept his 1 hits fairly well distributed. A five-run outburst In the fourth inning won the game for Salem. Pete Jonas took over for John Marshall in the fourth and held the Senators scoreless the rest of the way. But the damage was done. Hal Sum mers walloped a homer for the Senators. : In the second game Alex Palica outlasted Steve Gerkin, In this one a four-run fourth inning for Vancouver, featured by Mullen's homer, was disastrous to the Senators.
