Sept. 29-(je)-JolteA by a widely circulated rumor 'Mus solini had postponed for three weeks a final decision regarding Ethiopia, wheat prices collapsed 2 cents today, but later rallied. With late indications that the rumor had little, if any basis, re newed speculative demands for wheat developed, and there was also fairly good buying believed to be for , domestic millers. Drought damage advices from Ar gentina were unabated. Wheat closed nervous at the same as yesterday's finish to 1H cents lower, Dec. H.00-, corn off to up, Dec. 58 , oats unchanged to lower, and provisions varying from 12' cents decline to a rise of 22 cents. Breaks In wheat prices here came after a brief display of strength that resulted from unex pected sharp early upturns of Liv erpool quotations to above the dollar-a-busbel mark and to the highest point reached in Liver pool for several, years. Heavy selling, however, soon developed. and values here tumbled fast. Closing quotations: Wheat: Sept. 99i;-i. Dec l.OOH-i; May 1.00H-S Corn; Sept. 81-; Dec 58-; May 58-59.
