by a widely circulated rumor 'Mus
solini had postponed for three
weeks a final decision regarding
Ethiopia, wheat prices collapsed
2 cents today, but later rallied.
With late indications that the
rumor had little, if any basis, re
newed speculative demands for
wheat developed, and there was
also fairly good buying believed
to be for , domestic millers.
Drought damage advices from Ar
gentina were unabated.
Wheat closed nervous at the
same as yesterday's finish to 1H
cents lower, Dec. H.00-,
corn off to up, Dec. 58
, oats unchanged to lower,
and provisions varying from 12'
cents decline to a rise of 22 cents.
Breaks In wheat prices here
came after a brief display of
strength that resulted from unex
pected sharp early upturns of Liv
erpool quotations to above the
dollar-a-busbel mark and to the
highest point reached in Liver
pool for several, years. Heavy
selling, however, soon developed.
