More Mumps Reported A : lur ry of mumps cases is reported from the Woodburn district and an occasional case in Salem, ac cording to Dr. Vernon A. Douglas, county health officer. Roosevelt r asked - the legisla tures to amend their statutes so that banks, insurance companies, building and loan associations, trust companies, fiduciaries and all other Investors under statutory restrictions be permitted , legally to make Insured loans. ; A. A. Schramm, state superin tendent of banks, declared that Oregon's financial institutions' al- ready were authorised to loan up to 50 per cent of the actual cash market value of property after de ducting liens.
