This sport column disease Is still spreading among the upstate nwananera of Oregon. We no ticed one In the Medford News yesterday; maybe it's been run ning for a while, but this was the first time we saw It. "We started the thing but now? there are two in Eugene, one in Conrallis, one In Pendleton, one in Klamath Falls, one in Medford: maybe we're still overlooked some. May 15-(AP) Glenna Collett, playing an ex cellent brand of golf, today went Into the final of the British wom en s golf championship, but only after two fierce battles with de fending British girls who forced her to the 18 th green and several times threatened to send her home the loser. She defeated Hilda Cameron of Scotland In 1 the morning and Enid Wilson of England In the afternoon, each one up and found neither opponent soft In any par ticular. The hard hitting Helen Hicks went down, 5 up and 4 to play, before the harder hitting Enid Wilson in the morning. Diana Fishwick, who contested with Miss Collett for the cham pionship over 3 C holes tomorrow, won her way to the finals 6y de feating Daisy Ferguson of Ire land in the morning and Kathleen MacDonald later.
